[mrtg] Switch vs NIC info

We are using Fore ES-2810 switches and  Intel Pro 10/100 nic's in our Dell
Netware 5 servers. When checking on the port speed on the 2810's it states
that they are running at full dx at a rate of 25 MBytes/s, but if I check
the server that is plugged into this port it is stating that it is only
running at 12.5 MBytes/s. Both devices are forced to 100MB FDX. 
Why am I getting differnt readings and which one is correct?
