[mrtg] CPU load instructions for NT cfg don't work

MRTG running on W2K doesn't like OIDs that end in ".0" (e.g.
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0, Cisco 5-minute CPU utilization, I believe). No other
OIDs have problems.

I followed the instructions exactly in "The Windows NT Guide to MRTG
2.9.0pre10" (see my .cfg file below) and all targets work except cpu.1 which
gives an error message "WARNING: Could not resolve 10.1.1.5//" and Sniffer
shows no attempt to GET the OID. Obviously 10.1.1.5 can be resolved since
the other targets work.

If I substitute a ".1" for the final ".0" in the CPU 5-minute CPU OID, it
then attempts to GET that nonsense OID (no problems resolving 10.1.1.5 then)
and I get the message I'd expect (noSuchName). So I conclude there's some
bug in MRTG having to do with OIDs ending with ".0".

If I understood PERL better I'd try to debug it, but my skill level there is
pretty minimal. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Margaret
