[mrtg] How to understand Timetick values...?

We are running MRTG 2.9.7 and trying to graph a time tick value.

snmpget returns:  Timeticks: (240158729) 27 days,19:06:27.29

but MRTG doesnt appear to get any usefull graphing value from that string

I would like to grab the timeticks themself and just divide by 6000 for a
minutes value.

Has anyone dealt with this? or give help to this matter?
