There's an example on faq.mrtg.org that you can use.  Easy to
modify from cpu to memory.

You can also install and use SNMP, setting this up correctly falls
out of the scope for this list.  If you don't know SNMP already
then start studying that (book or web).  Then read the manual for
snmpd (perhaps after installing it if necessary) and make sure you
understand "views" (think of access lists, masks).
