[mrtg] SnmpMgrOpen error

I am trying to graph the memory utilization on my Cisco router but every time I try to use the 'Snmputil get' command I get the following error: 
"Error on SnmpMgrOpen 1101"
 When I walk using Getif I get a value but I can't the other way.
Can anyone tell me what this means and what I can do to fix this?
