[mrtg] no mib for ifInOctets in fedora

Hello

I have a very nasty problem:

I try to monitor network interface of a linux computer running fedora 
core and there's no MIB for any network related value
can anybody point to some place to solve this issue?
when I walk snmpwalk I get a very short list of mib values (no 
ifInOctets, etc):
