Are you wanting to merge your old rrd file with the new rrd file? If so take a look at 'merge-rrd' inhttp://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/pub/contrib. <br><br>In the future you can just rename your rrd files to the new names and not loose any of the historical data.
