the directory, have write permission to the user which is running MRTG –
possibly you used a different account to test things and left a file with
incorrect permissions? Then, check that there are no MRTG processes or
services currently running – possibly you have started MRTG in daemon
mode, so it is running and has the file open?<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

MRTG is all I have running on this server. It is a VMware virtual server
with a 3.2Ghz Dual-Core AMD Opteron and 512MB RAM running Windows
Server 2003 SP2. We have been experiencing some system issues that
have yet to be pinpointed and it seems that it may be messing with MRTG.
