We must have in mind that MRTG works with AVERAGES. If you are usig
traditional 5-minute MRTG, for daily graph, you have a 5-minute average =
500 m. But for weekly graph you have 30 minute average, taking six times
more readings that the first graph. Probably, the reading that resulted the
500 m peak is "dissolved" into the 400 m peak.

(400m + 500m + 450m + 380m + 350m + 320m ) / 6 = 400 m

But you use in your config file the option 

WithPeak[_]: wmy

You will see another line on the weekly, monthly and yearly graphs
representing the peak of each set of readings. For example, at weekly graph,
you will have 400 m in green (or blue) and you will have a dark green (or
magenta) line contenting your 500 m at the same graph! So, you could compare
the averages with the peaks.

Hi All
I have noticed one thing... When I make a graph of 1 day I get the maximum
range on the y axis as 500 m but when I make graph for one weeks time I get
the maximum value on the y axis as 400m ... Why is this reducing... I know
about the aggregation based on RRA's but still why is the value being shown
reduced ..... because as far as I understand..... If I see a graph of a day
and of a week then the maximum value should either be the same of the week's
maximum value can be more.... but its opposite here.....
