my project?

Hello,
I am looking at RRDtool and am wondering if anyone could
advise that this is the correct tool for my project.

Currently I am
logging electricity data every second into a postgreSQL DB and am looking at
switching things up because it takes too long to graph out the data at a later
time.

I want to write to the DB and read from the DB any time without it
locking up, and it needs to be able to handle a lot of space
Can RRDTool
handle this ?

Any help/comments would be
welcome.

Drew
