The error message is confusing and should actually read:<br>
rrdtool.OperationalError: rpn expressions without DEF or CDEF variables are<br>
not supported<br>
as it does in other cases.<br>
The meaning is clear: you must use a DEF or CDEF in your CDEF definition.<br>
