<font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Hello all,<br>
<br>
I have realy hard time with the Slave / Master configuration.<br>
<br>
First question<br>
<br>
to you have to start the master first then the slave ? Or the slave
first and then the master ?<br>
<br>
Second question<br>
<br>
I have a warning about secret key not be the good one evry time I start
the slave. "</font><i>WARNING: Data from supHQ was signed with
</i>><i> Vanfzzz6rqJXCOhFjNuVNQ which does not match our expectation"<br>
<br>
</i><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">I have set the key in
/usr/local/smokeping/etc/smokeping_secret as "supHQ:0123456789" on the
master. I did the same on the slave. Of course my slave hostname is
"supHQ" (using the hostname command). Is it the right way to proceed ?<br>
<br>
Third question<br>
<br>
When I start the slave it is complaining about finding not target
defined the the slave in the master configuration. Here is a part of my
config file :<br>
<br>
<font face="Courier New, Courier, monospace"><i>"+ Curl<br>
binary = /usr/bin/curl<br>
follow_redirects = yes<br>
include_redirects = yes<br>
timeout = 15<br>
<br>
*** Slaves ***<br>
secrets=/usr/local/smokeping/etc/smokeping_secrets<br>
+ supHQ<br>
display_name=Pse_High<br>
location=Bulle High<br>
color = 00ff00<br>
<br>
*** Targets ***<br>
<br>
probe = FPing<br>
<br>
menu = Top<br>
......<br>
+++++ Tcis<br>
menu = Tcis Server<br>
title = TCIS Server<br>
host = tcis.xxx.yyyyy<br>
url = /tcis/PartSearch.htm<br>
slaves = supHQ"</i></font><br>
<br>
Also I have an error message : ... ligne xxx slaves = slave1 [slave2]
!!! Why can't I use the name of the slave ?<br>
<br>
Thanks you for an answer because configuartion example I found are not
"crystal clear".<br>
