<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div>Howdy,<br><br></div><div>I need to get another set of eyes on something. <br></div><div><br>I'm running smokeping in a docker container hosted on a onsite server. So far it works fine, but last night something weird occurred.<br><br></div>I have 2 probes running, FPing and EchoPingHttp. They both run 3 pings at 60 steps to 20 hosts. <br><br></div>Last night, I had 2 complete gaps across all hosts in EchoPingHttps for a handful of hours in total. Fping for the same period showed jitter and minor loss but not the major gaps I expected to see, or minor for that matter, like I said, just some jitter/minor loss.<br><br></div>Today, inside the docker container, I have a large number of defunct [echoping]s showing in ps. They seem to have been formed during the outage. <br><br></div>Should I expect more of these defunct [echoping]s during an outage? Am I doing something wrong?
