Just installed.<br><br>Smokeping is configured to simply ping my router, and I’m accessing SmokePing from local Firefox at </span><a href="http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/smokeping.cgi"><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/smokeping.cgi</span></a><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>.<br><br>I get a nice SmokePing page, but *<b>all</b>* .png files don’t show … not even the rrdtool.png or smokeping.png …<br><br>Looking at the Apache access.log, I see the problem. It’s asking for files like /smokeping/images/rrdtool.png and getting a 404 status back. This is happening with all .js scripts, too. If I point Firefox at the file:// location of the rrdtool.png, the .png fetches just fine.<br><br>Looking at the owners of all of these .png and .js files, I see root:root, but changing them to smokeping:www-data doesn’t change anything. Their permissions are set to 644 anyway.<br><br>I’m afraid I’m out of ideas … why would Apache report not being able to see them?? <br><br>(BTW, my /etc/smokeping/Apache2.conf has /smokeping aliased to /usr/share/smokeping/www, which seems right. Symlinks seem to be enabled for this directory.)<br><br>Any suggestions??<br><br>(All of these behaviors are essentially the unaltered install-out-of-the-box.
