[mrtg] changing timeout setting

Greetings,

I'm getting the following errors periodically from a particular router
I'm monitoring:

SNMP Error:
no response received
SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "204.182.64.63" [204.182.64.63].161
                  community: "public"
                 request ID: 873851902
                PDU bufsize: 8000 bytes
                    timeout: 2s
                    retries: 5
                    backoff: 1)

I was wondering if I needed to change the timeout value to something
longer than 2secs?  Does this sound like a likely solution?  If so,
where would I change that setting?
