[mrtg] howto monitor resource oids

I'm trying to figure out how to monitor cpu and memory usage on my computer (fbsd v3.2).
If I'm not way off, I gather I need to install the ucd snmpd and use mrtg to fetch data. But what
I'm not that clear about is what the query strings should be in my mrtg-mycomputer.cfg. Could
someone point me to the right resources I'd be very grateful.
