I think what he needs to do is delete the html pages - while they are
there mrtg will assume that they're correct (Don/'t forget some people
modify them)

If you modify the cfg files, DON'T use cfgmaker. All that does is
replace
the the cfg file you just edited with a new one, overwriting any changes
you
made (assuming you used perl cfgmaker > mrtg.cfg)
