The reason for the flatline is due to the fact that MRTG didn't get any
values during time that the graph showed flatline. When MRTG doesn't get
a value such as when the link is down, MRTG will take the last value and
use it for that period of time that the link was down creating the
flatline!! It doesn't use a 0 value because it would screw up the
Monthly and Yearly graph since it takes averages from Daily and Weekly
graphs!!
