miguel,
with a netscape browser, i do two things:
(1) control-r (forced refresh).
(2) clear the cache (memory and disk) on my browser. this is located under
edit->preferences->advanced->cache. then do another control-r.

Using netscape ? It doesn't even try to find out if there are newer
gifs when using reload on itself. (argh)
Try holding shift and click reload.
Scan the archive for "Expire" or similar, it may help.
