Hi Daniel,

It is not just a permission issue. When I comment out the "close(RATEUP)" in
the "sub writegraphics()", the error did not appear when I re-run "./mrtg
mrtg.cfg". However, no graphics file was generated.

basically, this is telling you what exactly is wrong - "sh: .//rateup:
Execute permission denied", this is more of a linux/unix issue than mrtg
