[mrtg] Ping problem

I am trying to gather some stats from a server pinging another server. The
server I am pinging
from does not have mrtg on it so I need to pipe the output to a file, which
I then want to use
in the target on my mrtg server to graph. So far I have had trouble setting
the target/oid up
so I can read the contents of this output file and use the ping stats for
graphing.

Any ideas?
