[mrtg] regexp in indexmaker

In version 2.8.12, HP-UX 10.20 the indexmaker isn't working right for me.
Here's how I call it.

./indexmaker -t 'My Title' -r 'rtrxxx01' -o
/usr/local/bin/mrtg/rtrxxx01.html /opt/mrtg-2.8.12/run/mrtg.cfg

The script runs ok, but the regexp doesn't work!!!  Instead of just finding
rtrxxx01 in the cfg file,
it finds every router in the config file, interfaces for rtryyy02,
rtrzzz01, etc.

Is this some kind of error with the single quotes not being chopped off the
ends? or something else?
