[mrtg] Perl script

I have had some trouble with a perl script that opens a .txt file that
contains
the output of a ping (windows95 ping), then retrieves the max, min and avg
and uses this to create a graph. Does anyone have such a script that I
could try?

I currently run a ping probe from my mrtg box (NT 2.8.3) which uses the
comment

Target[xxxx]:`perl c:\mrtg-2.8.3\cfg\mrtg-ping-probe.pl xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx`
and this works fine as the perl script is actually running the ping.

But now I am trying to query a text file where the ping has already run and
the output is in the file.

Here is my target
Target[xxx]:`perl c:\mrtg-2.8.3\cfg\vpn-ping-probe.pl
c:\mrtg-2.8.3\cfg\myfile.txt`
and it is not working.

Here are my files.....any ideas?
