Hi everyone,

These questions may be easy to answer, and then again maybe not..

the log file look like this..

956862633 134026 413094 134026 413094
956862367 77784 20630 77784 20630

If i my configuration is like that:

Target[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.5]: 5:public at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
MaxBytes[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.5]: 12500000
Options[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.5]: growright, bits
WithPeak[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.5]: dwym
Title[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.5]: (): Matrox SwitchBox Ethernet Port 5
PageTop[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.5]: <H1>Traffic Analysis for Matrox SwitchBox
Ethernet Port 5

In the manual, it say that " MRTG treats variable as a counter and
calculates the difference between the current and the previous value and
divides that by the elapsed time between the last two reading to get the
value to be plotted"

First question: The number that show in my log files, are they bytes or bits ?
second question: are they the result of the operation mentioned in the
manual or are they the values used in doing so?

Thanks for any positive comments !

Marc
