[mrtg] daily gifs flat line png show traffic

I just moved my MRTG from Linux to Freebsd. Now my daily gifs flat line
from 1 to 3 am on my index pages. When I look at the details the pngs
look fine. I assume it has something to do with the way FreeBSD handles
it's clock but I'm not sure how to fix it. Would someone be kind enough
to point me in the right direction.
