[mrtg] mrtg2.9.0pre18 problem

I am using log files from mrtg 2.5.4 on mrtg2.9.0pre18. All cfgmaker
generated configs work ok
but I was monitoring sysTraffic with :

Target[switch_1_load]:
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.1.8.0&.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.1.8.0:public at X.X.X.X

mrtg returns :

WARNING: Could not match host:'public at X.X.X.X' sel:'' key:''

It happens with all manually generated configs with one O.I.D. whether it be
cisco or anything else.
All configs worked previously with 2.5.4
