In fact MRTG_lib::log2rrd() ignores "directory" settings (the paths for
the rateup calls include it).

Shouldn't: MRTG_lib garanties that $$cfg{directory}{*} is defined and a
string which is either empty or ends in a slash/backslash.

BTW Tobi: If a directory is set for a target cfgcheck() checks if the
directory exists and creates it otherwise. If no (sub)directory is given
no check is done at all. Would you mine doing such a check (and mkdir)?
