I ran into this at one time, you can't just get the mib you want (like
cisco_firewall.mib or whatever), you have to read the docs on the web site
for the dependencies. The firewall mib requires like 6 other mibs from the
Cisco site. Just download them all, stick them in the directory, change the
extensions to .mib or .txt, and start Getif. If you have all the right mibs,
they magically appear. If you are missing one, nothing happens and you see
the standard stuff.

Subject: [mrtg] Re: Excellent MIB link!
I have been to Cisco's site and downloaded some of their mib's but they have
a .my extension and do not seem to work with Getif. I have other mibs (with
a .mib extension) in the Getif mibs directory and they show up in the tree
but not Cisco's. I tried changing the extension to .mib but still no luck.
Is there some step I am missing?
If you know the specific device you can go to
http://www.cisco.com/public/mibs/supportlists/
find the device, then follow the links.
