[mrtg] snmpd dying...

I've got a Red Hat Linux 6.2 box running ucd-snmp-4.1.1-2  When I start
snmpd, it starts OK and works form afew seconds, then dies.  snmpd.log
only lists connections... no clues as to *why* it's dying.  I feel like
I'm missing something really obvious, but it's been a long time since
I've really monkeyed with this... :-)
