I don't know if this is relevant here but when I did the following on
one of the 130's I just setup MRTG for it failed to return every port:

[www at Vinnie www]$ snmpwalk 208.46.69.10 <snip>
system.sysDescr.0 = "Ascend Pipeline BRI S/N: 9665673 Software +6.1.19+"
system.sysObjectID.0 = OID: enterprises.529.1.3.7
system.sysUpTime.0 = Timeticks: (506597400) 58 days, 15:12:54.00
system.sysContact.0 = "Gene 3165842255"
system.sysName.0 = "pipe130-brd.clr"
system.sysLocation.0 = "Clearwater KS"
system.sysServices.0 = 14
interfaces.ifNumber.0 = 22
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifIndex.1 = 1
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifIndex.2 = 2
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescr.1 = "Console 1"
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescr.2 = "BRI Slot 1 Line 1"
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifType.1 = 33
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifType.2 = basicISDN(20)

But I could snmpget a specific interface and it would find it: (not
that .3 doesn't exist)

[www at Vinnie www]$ snmpget 208.46.69.10 <snip>
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescr.4
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescr.4 = "ie0" Hex: 69 65 30

[www at Vinnie www]$ snmpget 208.46.69.10 <snip>
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescr.5
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescr.5 = "wan0" Hex: 77 61 6E 30

That put a dumb look on my face. Frankly I don't care to know why
just so long as it still works. :-)
