OK, the maximum payload is 192KB/s.  But what is measured by the router?
If it indicates 1544kbps itself, not 1536, wouldn't it be logical to also
count the framing bits?

If true:  you should have 193000 as the maxbytes setting
If false: the interface load as computed by the device would never reach
the full scale.

Anybody out there who knows for sure?
