[mrtg] hourly max not shown

To get the maximum count of modems shown, I run mrtg every minute for the portmasters.
(We have too many identical systems, polling for mail at the same minute-number, and syncronized by ntp.
This causes peaks in the modem use; actually all modems have been in use, but the graphs didn't show it..
The timeout for the connection is 60 seconds, so they get missed by the 5-min mrtg poll)
The max shows up in the weekly,month and year, but not on the daily, I get only the average, not the max.
