[mrtg] Runtime errors

I just tried to bring up mrtg tonight and am encountering some runtime
errors.  When running cfgmaker I get the following errors:

syntax error in file cfgmaker at line 13, next 2 tokens "use BER"
syntax error in file cfgmaker at line 26, next 2 tokens "snmpmapOID("
syntax error in file cfgmaker at line 182, next 2 tokens "my("
syntax error in file cfgmaker at line 196, next 2 tokens "->"
syntax error in file cfgmaker at line 205, next 2 tokens "my("
syntax error in file cfgmaker at line 221, next 2 tokens "->"
syntax error in file cfgmaker at line 225, next 2 tokens "pretty_print $_"
syntax error in file cfgmaker at line 233, next 2 tokens "})"
Execution of cfgmaker aborted due to compilation errors.


The messages are the same regardless of the cfgmaker options.  I am using
mrtg 2.8.9 with perl version 5.004_04 built for i386-freebsd on FreeBSD
2.2.7.  There were no compile errors.  What have I done wrong?  Thanks.
