Depends upon how many targets you need to monitor.  

You should be able to do 200+ targets with a PII 400, 128 megs and SCSI
drives.  4 gig hd is more than enough. 

I'm running about 100 targets on a P166 with 128 megs of ram, a 2 gig IDE
drive for the OS and MRTG code a 2 gig SCSI drive (an old Seagate Barracuda)
for the workdir/web pages, with no problems.
