[mrtg] Interval ramafacations?

Im using mrtg to graph the number of people logged into a unix box, split up
by pty (telnet) and tty (direct serial (text modem)) through a script I
modified, either one included or one I found somewhere online..

Im also doing usage on a couple of portmasters, through some other external
scripts I found online.

I am using the default measurement time of 5 minutes. It would be helpful
for me to shorten that time so I can get a better indication of when the
phone lines are busy.

Is there anything I should be aware of if I change the interval (and run the
job more frequently in cron)?
