[mrtg] Wierd MRTG Graphs

We are currently using MRTG 2.8.9 and having trouble with graphs of ports
that do over 100 Megs of traffic.  They look very blocky.  Has anyone else
encountered this?  Is there a fix to this?  Should we use rrdtool instead?
