[mrtg] redhat 6.2 and mrtg

I can't seem to get mrtg to work under 6.2 - fine under 6.1 and below. The 
config looks like this -
# First, map the community name "public" into a "security name" 

# sec.name source community
com2sec yellow myip/32 public

# Second, map the security name into a group name:

# groupName securityModel securityName
group com v1 yellow
group com v2c yellow

####
# Third, create a view for us to let the group have rights to:

# name incl/excl subtree mask(optional) view systemview included system

####
# Finally, grant the group read-only access to the systemview view. 

# group context sec.model sec.level prefix read write notif
access com "" any noauth exact systemview none none 

(names changed to protect the innocent :))
The error when run on myip - which is a redhat linux 5.2 server with mrtg 
2.8.9.
SNMP Error:
no response received

Any help or example config that works much appreciated. :)
