[mrtg] measuring connected Modems

Has anyone measured "cmSystemModemsInUse" OID from Cisco Routers?
I'm having big trouble coz MRTG is trying to identify the OID with an
Interface. It writes that information in mrtg.ok
The problem is that it's not having the "same interface" always.
Sometimes MRTG is appointing Serial0/0 to the OID, sometimes Null0, ....
and then is not functioning.
Anybody has a cure for this problem?
