[mrtg] kmg invalid option

Hi there,
I am using mrtg 2.8.12
I am trying to use the kmg option and no matter what I do (extra commas,
etc)
I get this

CFG Error: Unknown Option "kmg" on line 11 or above.
           Check readme.html for Help

here's my config file

Title[hdd]: HDD Space Percentage
MaxBytes[hdd]: 2089100
Options[hdd]: gauge
kMG[hdd]: k,M,G,T,P
Target[hdd]: `/root/bin/hddstat`
PageTop[hdd]: <H1>HDD Space Used</H1>
YLegend[hdd]: Hdd Space
ShortLegend[hdd]: Bytes
LegendI[hdd]:
LegendO[hdd]: &nbsp;
Unscaled[hdd]: dwmy
WithPeak[hdd]: ymwd

I use a similar setup on another box (2.8.8) and it works fine
any ideas?
