[mrtg] Help needed for enhancing mrtg..

Hi,
    I want to display the statistics of mpeg packets , I have an
application which
gives me the statistics.(I don't want to use snmp agents)
   How can I go about developing the mrtg package to graph the
statistics
gathered from the application.
