Not sure if I am way off here, but I am monitoring NIC activity, (ifInOctets
and IfOutOctets) on an NT server using the normal ifInOctets.2&IfOutOctets.2
(.1 is the loopback) against the IP of the server......is this what you want
to do ?

Subject: [mrtg] Re: Extracting OIDs
In reguards to Ken's great and appreciated advice I went along and played
with GetIf some more and did indeed found the correct
proceeding values for the NT OID's. I then went and played with a trial .CFG
file and got the following errors. I am trying to just for
trial purposes setting up MRTG to watch the network Interface\Bytes
Total/sec information. I state again that the machine is an
NT 4.0;sp5 with PERFMIB from the SNMP4ThePC installed on it. I used GetIf
to extract the OIDs for the following samples
of code. I only included the important part of the config file, the work
directory and other stuff was cut out from this already
horrible looking post. :) I am running MRTG from a seperate NT 4.0;sp5 box
trying to monitor another box that does have SNMP
installed correctly (as far as i can tell). Man NT is so much trickier, our
Xedia Box is so much easier to monitor. :)
The first snippet of CFG here I tried with using the actual names that GetIf
gave me. It created the .HTML .GIF .LOG files all as if it was going
to work, yet the values returned were all 0 and gave me the errors listed
below. (Yes it did give the same error twice, i suspect for the before
"&" and the after "&" portions.)
