Is that Solaris?

find out where libpng.so.2 is, and put the directory in your $LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
On solaris, and I assume other system, Signal 9 usually is the result of a
file not being there, "bad file number".

If Linux, find the directory it's in, add it to /etc/ld.so.conf, run
`ldconfig`.
