unless you're doing some fancy VLANs or something, the standard Mib-2
variables might do fine.
.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.11
.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifInUcastPkts
.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.17
.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifOutUcastPkts
But there are specific Cisco mibs too :
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.2.1.1.7
.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.cisco.local.linterfaces.lifTable.l
ifEntry.locIfInPktsSec
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.2.1.1.9
.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.cisco.local.linterfaces.lifTable.l
ifEntry.locIfOutPktsSec
Those were described as a "Five minute exponentially decayed moving average
of input and output packets per second" respectively
As for collisions, the only thing I found was
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.2.1.1.25
.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.cisco.local.linterfaces.lifTable.l
ifEntry.locIfCollisions
Described as "number of output collisions reported on an interface"

Subject: [mrtg] OIDS for packets and collisions
I am trying to find the OIDs to track Ethernet Collisions and Packets
processed on an ethernet interface of a Cisco 1601 router. I've looked
through the files at http://www.cisco.com/public/mibs/oid/but I can't
find what I'm looking for.
