[mrtg] Won't do make for my install...

Ok, I took a step back because I'm getting frustrated, and I have run into a problem with make.

I've re-read the unix guide to installing mrtg and have followed all steps, until I run into this problem.  When I try to do the make right after getting gd installed, the system can't find it.  No problem, I'll just specify the entire path.  I go looking and can't find make anywhere.  What gives?  What am I missing?  I will now stop, breathe, and think...(because my daughter says that's what you need to do when you get frustrated)
