we would need to see /usr/local/mrtg-2.9.4/mrtg.sh and the cfg file to be sure, but...


I'd assume that you have either:

a) - a permissions issue (can the user running mrtg write to the directory?)

or

b) - a call to a nonexistent directory.


Can you post the aforementioned goodies?
