Hi Netadmins!
I didn't announce new versions of 14all for some time but there have
been some changes so here we go:
There are new versions of 14all.cgi available. The actual versions are
14all.cgi v1.0p21 for mrtg-2.8.12
14all.cgi v1.1p8 for mrtg-2.9.0
You can download them from the website
http://www.uni-ulm.de/~rbawidam/mrtg-rrd/
There have been many changes since the last announce. Here are some of
the most important changes:
14all v1.0p21
- introduced config cache: the config is stored in a DBM file which
should speed up 14all for really big config files (don't forget to
use mod_perl!)
- use a bigger read/write buffer when sending a graph file.
the graph file should now fit into the buffer
- try to fix some NT path issues
14all v1.1p8
- fix some bugs: '14all*columns' might be empty; escape '%'
- bigger buffer like in v1.0
- added a 'callhelper': config file can be executable now with
"#!/path/to/callhelper /path/to/14all.cgi" as first line
- display time of last update (was there but not working)
About 14all.cgi
---------------
14all.cgi is a CGI script for MRTG [1]. With this cgi it is possible to
use rrdtool [2] as database backend with MRTG. This makes MRTG much
faster, allowing much more targets. The cgi takes over from MRTG the
part to create web pages and graphics with the messured traffic. The
graphics are created on demand, only when needed and every 5 minute for
the daily graph.
14all.cgi started as a hack to get into mrtg and rrdtool. Many people
around the world are now using it and keep sending me patches (thx) and
bug reports and wishlists.
