[mrtg] Strange error when using mrtg-2.9.1 and rrdtool on a fresh file

I am using mrtg-2.9.1, with LogFormat: rrdtool

Mrtg complains that it can't find the file (because it isn't there).
I thought mrtg would automaticaly create a rrd file if one didn't 
exist before?

ERROR: No <cdp_prep> tag found
ERROR: Cannot update /home/matija/public_html/mrtg/cache/cache-squid-hit.rrd 
with '971773808:26:23' rrdopen can't open '/home/matija/public_html/mrtg/cache/
cache-squid-hit.rrd': No such file or directory

What's a "<cdp_prep>" tag, anyway?
