.I am new to MRTG and having a few problems
with using the program. We would like to monitor ports on our Cisco
Catalyst 5500 and also have indexmaker create a list of the individual ports
by name. My immediate problem is getting the port name field to be
displayed in the description area. We have installed MRTG 2.9.2 for Windows
NT.

The following is the commands that was
issued:

perl cfgmaker --descint --ifref=descr public at 172.30.127.252 --global
"WorkDir: c:\InetPub\wwwroot\cat5500" --output cat5500.cfg
perl mrtg cat5500.cfg
perl indexmaker --columns=1 --height=20 -t cat5500 cat5500.cfg >
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\cat5500\cat5500index.htm

Mrtg creates the html files but when we
display the page, the description field is left blank. I have reviewed the
posts in Dejanews and cannot determine if this will work or not. Is there
anything that we are doing wrong?
