    You could always open up the .log file (in between rateups) and change
that value to a lower, more 'normal' one, remove the graphic files and re-run
mrtg, let it re-generate the graphics.  Not pretty, but it beats having an odd
looking graph.

    You could also add a MaxBytes value to your config file, so that next time
that happens, it'll ignore stuff that's way out of whack.
