Look in config.html at the Target keyword. There is a description of a couple
of methods to avoid your problem.

Subject: [mrtg] identifer for interfaces

Hey,

I don't know if this has been discussed before, probably has but I am
needing to keep stats on 3 7513 Cisco routers, with 20+ interfaces on
each We currently run mrtg but it is an older version and every time the
router is reloaded the identifier for the interfaces changes and screws up
our stats. What I am need to know is:
Is there a way that I can make the identifier for the interfaces, the ip
address of that interface. It is currently a generated number.

Thanks,
